Earn Extraordinary Payments with PA Act 129 Incentives

The Customer Resources Demand Response Program from West Penn Power provides incentives to large commercial and industrial customers who reduce their electricity usage during times of peak demand.

Even if you’re already enrolled in a demand response program, you may still be eligible to participate. Customers can receive both Act 129 payments and PJM program payments in 2012. Customers with at least 300 kW of demand who can reduce their demand by a minimum of 100 kW are eligible. Participants must have revenue-quality interval metering.

Why Is West Penn Power Offering This Program?

Under Pennsylvania Act 129, West Penn Power is required to reduce both usage and peak demand for electricity. This program is designed to assist the utility in reaching its goal to reduce peak demand for electricity on the hottest days of the year.

West Penn Power has contracted with EnergyConnect, Inc., a Johnson Controls Company, to administer this program.
